Considering how Metallica are eager to sue whenever someone uses their music, it would have been funny if Tom had sent them a Cease and Desist over this. I don't care that there probably are no legal grounds to sue them. I don't care how awesome this performance is. I just think that they should face the mess which modern copyright law has become because of them.

Na ja, richtig gut ist was anderes. Das Beste sind wirklich die zig tausend mitsingenden Fans und viel zu kurz ist es auch noch. Und nicht mal mit Schlagzeug. Nee, ganz klar Daumen nach unten. Gestern haben die Hooters, auch aus den USA kommend und auch recht bekannt, auf einem „Dorf Open Air“ hier bei Freiburg als letzte Zugabe genau dieses Lied gespielt, auch die komplette Version, eher sogar etwas länger, das wahrscheinlich wegen der EM Hymne der deutschen Mannschaft. Damit hatte ich absolut gar nicht gerechnet und war erst mal völlig platt, als ich kapiert hatte, was die da spielen. Sein deutsch war übrigens deutlich besser, als bei Metallica. Und sie spielten komplett das ganze Lied, mit allen Instrumenten, die auf der Bühne standen, sogar eine Mundharmonika haben sie kurz eingesetzt. Und der Sänger, natürlich auch schon so um die 70 Jahre alt, gab wirklich alles und das mehr als gut. Respekt! Da bin ich immer wieder hin und weg, wie die das in dem Alter noch schaffen, genauso Alice Cooper, der vor kurzem auch hier auf einem Weinfest gespielt hat, war dermaßen fit und seine Stimme hat dich vor lauter Power fast weggeblasen. Klaus Meine von den Scorpions, die eigentlich der Hauptact waren, war dagegen mehr als schwach und blass. Die Band war allerdings wie immer richtig gut. Und gestern bei den Hooters, die maximal 1000 Zuschauer gingen ab, als ob es 50.000 wären. Also da kann Metallica echt abstinken, obwohl ich die auch sehr gerne mal live sehen würde. Dann haben aber doch so kleine Konzerte eine ganz besondere und angenehme, eher gemütliche Atmosphäre. War auch schon in Prag bei Rammstein vor mindestens 100.000 Fans, was natürlich auch mehr als genial war, aber halt total anders. Bin da offen für alles und Spaß macht es sowieso fast immer, weil die Fans eigentlich immer alle gut drauf sind und es nie irgendwelche Schlägereien o.ä. gibt. Im Februar geht‘s zu Manowar, spielen sogar hier in Freiburg. Freue mich jetzt schon auf „Warriors of the World“, eines meiner absoluten Lieblingslieder, muss aber die Live Version sein => tolles Video hier auf UA-cam, wo es primär um die fantastischen Fans geht, das absolut Bock auf ein Konzert mit denen macht. Mal sehen,was in Zukunft noch so alles kommt, bin gerade immer mehr infiziert und ja erst 64 Jahre alt. David Gilmour von Pink Floyd würde ich wahnsinnig auch gerne mal sehen, er ist auch noch aktiv, macht sich aber ziemlich rar. Spielt jetzt irgendwann 5 Maxi Konzerte im Circus Maximus in Rom, wo auch ca. 100.000 Leute reinpassen. War zum einen sehr schnell ausverkauft, aber dann auch Tickets ab ca. 300€, was meiner Meinung nach absolut daneben ist. Da höre ich mir lieber auf dem sonnigen Balkon unterm Sonnenschirm mit einer Zigarette eine Pink Floyd CD an. Das finde ich echt übertrieben, Adele ist auch so eine, die sich dann auch noch wundert, dass der Vorverkauf relativ schlecht läuft. Die schlechtesten Plätze kosten bei ihr aber auch mindestens 300€, für 500€ hat man dann schon bessere Sicht…. Ganz vorne und vielleicht auch noch sitzend wären dann so um die 1000€. Viel Spaß Adele, auch dich gibt es auf CD.

Millions must have heard this song. Billions even.

I love it when Robert Trujillo and Kurt Hammet do these little in concert jam out sessions. They both look like they are having a blast. Robert singing in German was pretty amazing and the fact the audience was just loving it. I also saw the video of Robert and Kurt doing the same thing with Rock Me Amadeus and the same joy from that I got from this. I just love Metallica so much even though Lars is a whiny baby about everything ( lol ).

Crazy how they gave us Murder One before we had any idea what Hardwired would be.
